Model Development & Evaluation
Every environmental and public health decision benefits from an understanding of how conditions will change as management alternatives are implemented – from large, policy decisions to smaller, site-specific evaluations. No one can predict the future. But models help us understand how processes are related to each other and help us interpret available data. Individual pieces of data do not provide as much information alone as data integrated into a model.
E Risk Sciences, LLP has led the effort to develop and evaluate numerous models and site specific modeling applications to support environmental and health decision making, ranging from probabilistic aquatic bioaccumulation models to detailed exposure models to support both ecological and human health risk-based analyses. Much of our work in this area has been published or is publicly available.
