Risk Communication
Individuals, risk managers, and policy makers need information about human health and ecological risks in order to make informed decisions about what actions to take to mitigate, prevent, or control such risks. Risk communication involves describing and summarizing scientific knowledge about risk issues and interpreting scientific evidence. Effective risk communication entails an understanding of how people think about risks and what factors influence public risk perceptions.
E Risk Sciences, LLP has expertise designing health education materials and communicating health risks to the public and health practitioners. Our efforts have included various risk communication tools and strategies to convey risk information to different audiences, such as putting risks into context by comparing a particular risk to other risks that people are familiar with.
